Carolina Hernandez, M.Ed.

Carolina Hernandez is a lifelong advocate and Director of Lehigh University’s Community Service Office and Associate Director of the Center for Community Engagement.  She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University.  She is also a certified trainer in restorative practices from the International Institute for Restorative Practices and a board member for the Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley (HCLV).

Carolina began her career as an AmeriCorps VISTA.  In her current roles, she has worked tirelessly to develop students as active citizens who value and contribute to their community by responding to community voice through meaningful action. Her passion as an educator is grounded in building and developing a positive, reciprocal relationship with the South Bethlehem community.

Carolina has been the recipient of the Alfred Noble Robinson Faculty Award and the Percy Hughes Award for Scholarship, Humanity, and Social Change.  She has led the Community Service Office to multiple recognitions on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
